Power in the name of Jesus
Name is
a word or anything that people use to identify or differentiate something or
somebody, when something happen whether good or bad, it is the name that will
be use to identify the actor or subject. Thus the reason while God brought all
that he created to Adam to give them a name that will be use to identify or
differentiate them. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of
the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he
would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was
cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for
Adam there was not found an help meet for him. Genesis 2:19-20. See also

On the
other hand, name has spiritual influence over the destiny of every living
creature, most especially the human being. Thus make God to change some
people’s name in the Bible; Abram to Abraham (Genesis 17:5), Sarai to Sarah
(Genesis 17:15), Jacob to Israel (Genesis 32:28) and many others.
The
name of Jesus which means Christ the savior of
the world and Emmanuel which means God is with us was
given to Jesus even before he was born into this world. According to the book
of Matthew which said “and she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his
name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done,
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the by the prophet saying,
behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son and they shall
call his mane Emmanuel which being interpreted is God with us (matthew
1:21-22). It is God the father that declared the name of Jesus, first through
his prophet to the people of Israel and later through his angel to his earthly
parent; Joseph and Mary. God know the important of name on the
achievement of someone assignment he didn’t for Mary and Joseph to give a name
to his son as he did with Adam in genesis chapter 2 verse 19. The name of Jesus
is just like every other name. It’s an authorized name from. Research show that
the name of Jesus was mention 981 times in the bible while Christ was mention
571 times
Divine power in the Jesus name
Jesus
the son received his authority from his heavenly father. God the father
announce him to be his beloved son and world should listen to him; While he yet
spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the
cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye
him. (Matthew 17:5) Jesus also declared it in the public in Galilee that all
power both in heaven and on earth has been given to him; And Jesus came and spoke
unto them, saying, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew
28:18.
We all
see how Christ use this authority to carry out his delegated assignment work
while on earth; he use his authority to preach the gospel of kingdom, heal all manner
of disease, sickness and torments and those that which were possessed with
devil and those which were lunatic and that had the palsy and he healed them
all. He also purifies the impure people, transform sinners to saint, convert
idolaters to God servants and change desert to God’s garden

The
power in the name of Jesus is power above all power because all power in heaven
and earth has being given to him and his name is the name above all name and
Jesus the God of the son is the God of all God. For its written that we have
give a name that is above all name that at the name of Jesus every knee shall
bow and every tongues confess that Jesus Christ is the lord. Philipians 4:9
1 To save the sinner
Christ
is the only begotten Son of God and anyone who believes in him will not perish
but have everlasting life. Apostle peter also made it known to us that “Neither
is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved” Act 4:12
2 To become the son of God
Jesus said
unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me. John 14:6.
But as
many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to
them that believe on his name: John 1:12. We become adoption son of God through
Jesus Christ because he is the only way to father for us to become the son of
God.
3 Cast out and destroy the devil
He
calls his disciples and gives them power and authority devil and to cure all
manner of diseases, when the disciple came back they were amaze because they
saw the manifestation of power given to them by Jesus. Theses authority and
power does not limited to only the twelve disciples but to all who believe in
Jesus and his name. Luke 9:49-50, 10:17
4 Power of adequate protection
The
name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runnet into it, and is safe
proverb 18:10.
For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rome 10:13
5 Power of healing
The
name of Jesus is the only name that can heal all manner of sickness and
disease. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples,
he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and
to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Matthew 10:1

1 Emmanuel
Behold,

Now

that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are
come to worship him. Matthew 2:1-2.
And

I am
the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. John 10:11.

God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great
shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant. Hebrews

There
was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came

come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be

In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The
same was in the beginning with God. John 1:1.

For

The

Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them
unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their
